The Video Awards Ceremony is a star-studded gala at which we honor the best in Media Production from around our Polk County. This annual tradition brings together the brightest and most creative minds from the county's elementary, middle, and high schools. This multimedia extravaganza will include lavish praise, enthusiastic applause, celebrations, certificates, and trophies. By the evening’s importance, please honor yourself and your school by dressing as formally as possible.

Our ceremony is currently planning two programs: Elementary at 5:00 P.M. and Secondary at 7:00 P.M. Please note, plans for two separate ceremonies may be altered based on on the number of participating schools.

We encourage all media production teams, teachers, and administrators to attend, so we can celebrate our collective successes and showcase the incredible work being done at other schools. Parents are also welcome, but students will be responsible for their parents’ behavior. Students of the Year who are honored by their schools will receive medallions and certificates and will assist in presenting category awards during the ceremony.

The Video Awards highlight young filmmakers' exceptional work and provide a platform for students to gain recognition and valuable feedback from industry professionals. By participating in these events, students earn invaluable experience and work-based learning opportunities that prepare them for future careers in media production. They get hands-on practice in video production, storytelling, and technical skills, all while collaborating with peers and mentors.

Schools may enter videos in any or all categories but may submit only one entry per category per school. The only exception to this rule is Category 4 - Solo Announcer, in which schools may submit two entries. Please note that each video entry is limited to one submission and cannot be entered into more than one category. This ensures that each project is judged fairly and accurately within its designated category.

Honorees for television production students of the year should be leaders who are in good standing in all their classes. Students honored by their schools will be presented with medallions and certificates and will assist in the distribution of category awards during the ceremony.
